We’re excited to launch our new Yoga Program at Transitional Center Inc. (TCI) for our boys. This isn’t yoga-for-Instagram, instead this is grounded, trauma-informed movement designed to help our youth build emotional regulation, body awareness, stress management, and focus. It gives them a healthy outlet, a chance to slow the nervous system down, and real tools they can use when life (or emotions) get loud.

Paint Therapy

Our Paint Therapy program at Transitional Center Inc. focuses on emotional expression, self-reflection, and regulation through creative process, giving our boys a way to communicate what they don’t yet have words for. Through guided painting, they learn to slow down, tolerate frustration, make choices, and safely express complex emotions. No pressure to be “good at art” as the growth happens in the process, not the canvas.

Mindfulness Group Therapy
Mindfulness Therapy at Transitional Center Inc. focuses on helping our boys slow their thoughts, regulate emotions, and respond rather than react when stress hits. Through guided breathing, grounding exercises, and present-moment awareness, youth learn to notice their thoughts and body cues without being hijacked by them.
In plain terms: fewer impulsive blowups, better emotional control, and stronger decision-making skills they can actually use outside the therapy room.
Calm is a skill and we teach it.
