Our Campuses

  • JTC Academy East – Cahokia Heights, IL

  • JTC Academy West – Cahokia Heights, IL

  • JTC Academy–STL – St. Louis, MO

At JTC Academy West, we do not take a “cookie-cutter” approach. Instead, we meet each student where they are—emotionally, academically, and developmentally—and walk alongside them as they grow.

JTC Academy is a non-public, therapeutic day school and the sister company of TCI. We serve students in both Illinois and Missouri who have IEPs and require intensive support for mental health and behavioral challenges. Many of our students have struggled in traditional settings—often facing suspension, expulsion, or inappropriate placements. At JTC, we combine rigorous academics with trauma-informed therapeutic programming to meet the full spectrum of student needs. Without this level of support, these youth are at risk of falling through the cracks, leading to a cycle of hopelessness, dropout, homelessness, and incarceration. Our mission is to break that cycle.

JTC-STL
Serving More Youth, Changing More Lives.

We are proud to serve students through our two current campuses—JTC Academy East and JTC Academy West—where education meets therapeutic support for youth with complex needs.

Exciting News: Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, we are expanding across state lines with the launch of our new JTC Academy campus in St. Louis, Missouri! This milestone marks a major step in our mission to reach and uplift more youth through compassionate care, structured programming, and high expectations.

We look forward to continuing our growth and making a greater impact—one student, one success story at a time.

At JTC East High School, we recognize that many of our students have faced significant challenges that have disrupted their education. Our trauma-informed approach provides a safe, structured, and supportive environment where students can stabilize, rebuild confidence, and re-engage with learning. Through individualized academic planning and credit recovery, students work toward closing educational gaps at a pace that honors their unique needs. Integrated throughout the program are social-emotional learning, coping strategies, and life skills that support healing and growth. Our ultimate goal is to help students successfully transition back to their home high schools or to the next phase of their academic journey—stronger, more resilient, and on track for graduation.

JTC West

JTC Academy West: Specialized Programming for Diverse Needs

JTC Academy West is home to two distinct therapeutic education programs designed to support students with complex learning and behavioral needs.

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Program (K–12): Our newly launched ASD program provides a structured, supportive, and individualized environment for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We recognize that ASD presents differently in every child—there is no one-size-fits-all. That’s why our team develops personalized treatment plans involving a multidisciplinary team of professionals to address each student’s unique strengths and challenges.

  • Special Education Program (K–8): This program serves students with a variety of special education needs, offering academic instruction paired with trauma-informed behavioral supports. We focus on building emotional regulation, academic engagement, and social skills to help students succeed both in school and in life.
